Jaydiohead
This mashup of Jay-Z and Radiohead by Max Tannone is part of the current writing project. But it's also really good. Take a listen to Change Order.

cool, glad you like it! what writing project?
ReplyDeleteWow! Did I get a comment from the artiste himself? That's very cool.
ReplyDeleteHi Max. I'm a new fan of yours. I've really been enjoying your work.
I'm writing a book on Marx and digital commodities and one of the most interesting digital commodities these days are mp3 files.
Your mashup of Jay-Z and Radiohead is interesting for me because both of those artists have been encouraging fans to take their music and use it and share it online.
I would love to know if you've run into any legal troubles from putting out Jaydiohead, or anything else you might care to share about making and distributing mashups.
Stop me if this is common knowledge or one of a common type, but I get my Kristin Hersh / 50FOOTWAVE fixes from CASH Music, which includes mix stems as a regular part of what's offered for free / donation download and posts remixes. Perhaps a data point for you?
